List blog # 2 - Modern Family (Disneyland Episode)

1.   MODERN FAMILY - DISNEYLAND EPISODE

2. Summary.

As you may have guessed from the episode title, the entire family is the Happiest on Earth. They went to visit Disneyland. Including Ethan who is the nephew of one of Claire's friends. Claire desperately wants to hook up Haley with Ethan, but the boy seems to have way more in common with Alex. Dylan borrows a Little John outfit to explain himself to Haley. He says that he still loves her even. Gloria is upset that her young son won't hang up the phone long enough to enjoy the park. She's also in agony after choosing to wear high heels. Gloria doesn't want Jay to know since he made such a big deal about telling her to wear comfy shoes. Jay can't stand to see his wife suffering, so he buys her a soft pair of slippers at the Boutique. This leads to a theory that maybe, Gloria gets very angry from time to time because she's always wearing uncomfortable shoes. Lily (the little girl) is going through a phase where she bolts every chance she gets. That's why Cam hooks her up to a child safety tether. Mittchel gets many looks from others so it is forced to give unleash his little girl. Lily promptly takes off after Chip and Dale. Jay is able to solve the issue. He buys to Lily a pair of uncomfortable heels that make it hard to walk. He thinks that's going to work!

Phil, the "king of roller coasters," is psyched to go on all the big rides with Luke. But he does not know that the Indiana Jones Adventure has lots of vertigo. That’s not going to stop him from racing to the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Phil stumbles his way from ride to ride. He's sad because he can't have fun with Luke because he's getting older. Actually, age may not be the problem here. There's a good chance Phil may simply be suffering from a debilitating case of the flu. Jay recalls the time he took his young kids to Disneyland solo after getting into a big fight with Dede. Some of the experiences of the day caused him to reflect on his failing marriage. Some stirring words from a robotic Abraham Lincoln inspired him to stay with Dede until Claire and Mitchell were grown. It wasn't easy, but Jay feels the universe ultimately rewarded him in the form of Gloria. Sounds like a happy ending.

3. My opinion.
In general, I always enjoy watching this series, well when I'm home at that hour. I laugh a while, but very often I wonder if these kinds of modern families exist today. Homosexual couple with daughter, a old man with a woman much younger than him, and it seems that everything is perfect, everything works fine. It's funny for me to represent me in the role of Gloria. This time she did not want to wear flat and comfy shoes. That's me on many occasions. I love wearing my high sandals no matter where I go. Sometimes I can stand it when I'm dancing but other times I have had to buy tennis to keep walking, that was in Las Vegas last year.

  1. I have never watched that show, but people always say it is so funny. Gloria is played by Sophia Vargas, no? I can imagine you two might be a little similar--the shoe example for sure! Nice job!
