SPORTS AUTHORITY FIELD - Denver Reviews # 1

SPORTS ARENAS #1

SPORTS AUTHORITY FIELD

DENVER COLORADO

The last 4th of July we went in Sports Authority Field celebrating the Independence Day of United States of America. The Lacrosse Game started about 7:00pm but we decided assisted just the last 30 minutes of the game. The two teams were Denver Outlaws and Ohio Machine. During our way to the fireworks show the traffic was normal, very fluent, but when we arrived to the place we found lots of cars trying to go into the place. Something that I saw in the parking spot is that people do picnics outside of the field. They bring food, UV’s , music, banquets,  waiting for the fireworks. My fiancĂ© asked me if I wanted to stay outside but definitely no. I prefer watch the show closer, in a good seats, good drinks, watching the game, (which is a new sport for me), and enjoying the music. We parked really far away from the entry so we walked for about 10 min to get the entry. Since outside the field doesn’t look too big, but is totally different and amazing when you are inside. It is fully illuminated, the music is very loud, people singing, eating, dancing and I loved the kiss camera, which was my favorite part. While I was watching the last part of the game, it was very impressive see how the players hit each other. Many times I screamed “fault, fault” but my fiancĂ© just said “hey no, that is normal, that’s how they play, they can do that”. It was funny to me because I didn’t know they can hit as hard like that. He just laughed about what I was yelling. We enjoyed the game and fortunately Denver Outlaws won. After 30 minutes break, the fireworks show began and it was really nice and loud. I took lots of pictures and videos. I can tell that this field is very different to those I have seen before in Colombia because the most are Soccer and Basketball Stadiums. Those are pretty big but really different and they way how they play is totally different as well. Personally I can recommend this place, because in my opinion is an totally different experience, is safe, a lot of parking spots, tickets are not expensive, and for this occasion I had the opportunity to see two things, the Lacrosse game and the fireworks. The only thing that you should have is patient because the games are very long and sometimes seems that the game is not going to end. Bring food, blankets, and desires to have a good time.

  1. Nice! The picnics outside in the parking lot that you were talking about is called "tailgating." It's such a common activity before games, concerts, or whatever here in the US! Looks like your seats were pretty good--and nice fireworks pictures.

What's wrong with this grammatically: "decided assisted just the last 30 minutes"?
